On Monday 24th August, we had the pleasure of welcoming Howard Dawber OBE, Deputy Mayor of London for Business & Growth, and Reinald de Monchy, Chief Banking Officer at the British Business Bank, along with their teams, to the Dot Dot Bubble Tea brewery!

It was a very special moment for our team as we started from a small bubble tea cafe in North London to now a fast-growing, ready-to-drink bubble tea brand. From production and manufacturing to labelling and packing, we craft and fulfil every step at our own tea brewery. We are the first UK-made, low-sugar bubble tea brand in glass bottles and cans. Today, we are stocked by several major retailers including Harrods, Selfridges, Costco, Itsu, Virgin Atlantic, and Ocado, to name a few.
Howard and Reinald’s teams’ visit was a fantastic way for us to share our startup journey and show how important it is to have the right partners, sponsors and investors to help build and grow a business and brand. As Dot Dot Tea scales up, we’re so proud to have partnered with the British Business Bank in supporting us with a loan to help the business thrive and gain further opportunities.
Dot Dot Brewery Tour
Upon arrival, we welcomed our guests with a bubble tea drinks reception (of course!) and demonstrated our production process. When you visit our brewery, it’s a must to wear our pink hairnets (which are so on brand, just look at how great we all look!). Our Production Manager, Chelsea, shared how we meticulously craft our drinks, allowing everyone to get to know our ingredients and smell the teas we use to truly capture their aromas. Followed by Hiryu, our Operations Manager, who shared the step-by-step process on labelling, packing, and fulfilling direct-to-customer and trade orders. Everyone heard directly from our founder, Yandis, about her journey from start-up to growing an award-winning brand.

We were born in London, grown in London and manufactured in London. Crafting great products is at the core of what we do, and we are also very proud to create jobs and further opportunities for young people in our city. We are honoured to be one of London’s women-founded businesses and to be part of Buy Women Built, who are championing women entrepreneurs driving growth in communities. Access to finance can be a major barrier, particularly for underrepresented entrepreneurs, which is why programmes like Start Up Loans Company are so important for ambitious entrepreneur-led businesses just like Dot Dot Tea.
